NCAA Men's Golf Championship Starts Today - Leaderboard Link

We tee off starting at 12:00 CT today against Cal.

It will be another great day for the Tide. They have all the 'mo.

Cal was the original No. 3 seed and we were No. 2. We played with them and Texas in rounds 1 & 2 so both teams should be comfortable. There are only good teams left. Texas was the original No. 1 seed and UCLA was No. 5.

The only top 5 seed missing is No. 4 Auburn. I guess you could say they were over rated as usual.

We are in a tough match with Cal. We are up 3-1-1 but most of the matches are close.

Four matches are over with the score tied 2-2. The final match is on #17 with Bama's Hunter Hamrick holding a 1 Up lead. No. 17 is a long par 5 and No. 18 is a 475 yard par 4. We need to birdie 17 and close this match out.

Both players par 17 so Hamrick goes to the 18th tee with a 1 up lead. Both players hit the fairway. Cal must win the hole to extend the match to sudden death. A half or win and Bama plays in the finals tomorrow.

Both players hit good but not great second shots. Bama is abot 2 feet off the green and looks like an easy par. Cal is just off the green but the ball is up against the collar of the rough. A par is likely but a birdie will be difficult.

Hamrick puts his putt within 6 inches. The par putt is conceded. Cal misses the birdie attempt so the match is over. Bama wins and advances to the finals.
