She lost one of her best friends and she is really upset. I would appreciate it you could find it in your heart to lift her up in prayer. Thanks. God Bless!

College buddy and lifelong friend:

BARKER, WALLACE C. "WALLY" JR., age 54, died Saturday, March 5, 2011 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Wally was born in Birmingham, AL. He attended elementary and middle school in Montgomery, Al. He was a 1973 graduate of Selma H.S. where he was a member of the varsity basketball and cross country teams. Wally was an Eagle Scout, and a member of the Order of the Arrow. He proudly served on the staff of the National Boy Scouts of America Jamboree Team in 1973. He attended the University of Alabama where he was a member of TKE fraternity. Upon leaving the University he embarked on a restaurant career. He was well known on the restaurant scene in Gulf Shores and Birmingham. Wally and Page were owners of The Back Alley Restaurant. He then entered a new career as a Real Estate Appraiser. Wally was devoted husband, father and friend. He will be remembered as the one always reaching out to help no matter what was needed. He was a Golfer, Avid Alabama Football Fan, loved music, gardening and flowers. He spent countless hours with his beloved son, Graham, fishing and exploring the outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Kathryne Page Kennedy Barker; son, Graham Casey Barker; parents, Wallace C. & Elizabeth M. Barker, Sister, Suzanne Norris and her husband Rick, brother, Wilson M. Barker, niece, Meredith N. Mosser and husband Joe, great nephew, Charlie Mosser, Father in Law, Theodore Clifford Kennedy, mother-in-law, Lucy Hall Kennedy, and many extended family members. His nephew, Ricky David Norris III, predeceased him. The Family sends special thanks to Odyssey Hospice, Irvin, Leigh Ann, Pat, & Brenda, Doctors Mark Ricketts, Burt Nabors, Richard Taylor, John Fiveash, and everyone at Kirklin Clinic. Services will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at St. Francis Xavier Church at 11:00 A.M. Family will receive friends after the service in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, the Family request donation to the Comprehensive Cancer Center, Neuro-Oncology Program, Attn: Shirley Gibbs, 510 20th Street S. FOT1020, Birmingham, AL 35294.

Heaven just became a little better place. Roll Tide.

Ricky - hope your wife is doing well now and that she's feeling somewhat better. I know it takes time to recover.  Still praying for her.
