"John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."

Do you want to know the will of God in your life?
Here's a test: how much time do you spend reading the Bible? Do you think God really believes we want to know His will when we don't take even 15 minutes a day to read the one book above all books that God has specifically written to show you His will, to reveal His will to you, to unfold His will to you?
Your first step in knowing His will is the surrender principle--surrendering our will to His.
Your second step is the scripture principle. Read His word, meditate upon it, share it, and study it. When you bow to His will and read His will, you'll know His will.
Commit to read God's Word at least 15 minutes a day for 30 days. When the month is over, reŽevaluate what you have learned and ask God to help you be obedient to daily Bible reading from this day forward.

Father fill our lives forever with your Spirit. We love you and glorify you. Forgive us our sins and keep us safe. AMEN

Amen.

Maybe we should post some verses here in the chapel every day.  Maybe start with Genesis and post a chapter each day or something.  What do you guys think?

Hey SC that sounds great to me. If we start with Genesis 1:1 tomorrow, if this is what you thinking about? Amen!

Great idea.

What if we did a chapter of Genesis and one of Matthew. We could do one of each per day or alternate days. If we work through the old testament it will be a year before we get to the new testament. Most read the bible in a year programs recommend reading both testaments at the same time.

That sounds good to me guys.  I don't want to jump around all over the place like some of the schedules do, but I do like the idea of alternating between the old and the new.  So maybe we do Genesis Ch 1 tomorrow, then Mathew Ch 1 on Saturday, then back to Genesis Ch 2 on Sunday, Matthew Ch 2 on Monday, etc.

Should we use the NIV, King James, or some other translation?

I prefer NIV. I assume Preacher Ricky is heading this up so I OK with whatever version he chooses.

I like going in order and alternating between old and new.

I prefer NIV too.  I just have a hard time deciphering King James.

Well I use the KJV in all my scriptures, so I might have to change somewhat but if we run into scripture that takes the blood out as some do, then we will need to change. Good job. God Bless!
