Trent and the runners-up nominees were pretty funny at halftime.  Badger and Trent look like 4-eyed brothers in those glasses.  Pretty good yucking it up.

Two weeks ago I was sure he was going to win it. Third. Give me a break!!!

Get my hands on the Bruce Feldman's neck!!

It's ok, Coach. We know who the real winner is. A lot of bias and poor judgement in voting this year. We know the truth, though.

In 1944 they shut down a war for this game.

In person (and on TV) the pageantry is unparalled. I attended one of the ones played in the Meadowlands. The Plebes took their shirts off in maybe 10 degree weather. Battle of the Bulge and MacArthurs return going on during the 1944 game. These games mean a lot to our service men and women, along with the legions of Veterans. I am patriotically enjoying the Army Navy game.

I saw the intro. I had goose bumps on my goose bumps. The 2 groups singing "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" was awesome!

One of the older sports writers said last weekend that Denver with Tim Tebow running the offense looked like one of the great Army football teams of the 1940s.

HTWMI--Closest Heisman vote. AFLAC Trivia

1993 is when I saw this game in the Meadowlands. Played in Philly most followed by Pollo Grounds (Brooklyn). Played in Rose Bowl 1 time.

Even the commercials on this game are awe inspiring (Chevrolet).

Crisp, there is a HUGE upside to this.  Remember how much of a distraction it was for MI?  Poor TR would be flying all over the country  Shocked if he won it, and he'd likely only join the team for the final week of preparation.  Best thing for our TEAM would be having the Golden Badger (whatever  ) win it, and let him be flown all over in exhaustion.

This is the best Army-Navy game in a few years.  It's tied 21-21 now, and Navy is at the goal line.  Looks like it'll be a big finish too.

The 1945 game was labeled "the game of the century" (sound familiar) with the teams ranked #1 and #2. Army defeated Navy.

The first football helmet was supposedly introduced in this game (1893). A Navy doctor told a midshipman a further kick to the head could end up in "insanity" or even death. A shoemaker was commissioned to make a helmet out of leather.

Another NC decided by this game (1926) was awarded to Navy after the game ended in a 21-21 tie. Angry LOL

Looks like Army just shot themselves in the foot again. No penalties, but lots of fumbles.

Thanks for the history.
But I think they made the right decision in '26.
