The NCAA just could not adequately substantiate the charges,-- that is all. Sheridan is convinced he sw the "bagman" and the NCAA sw with him as well. Also there was another person present. If either of the two comes forward, at a later date, the barn is burnt. But the NCAA is merely saying they are finished expending resources on a stalemate.

Interesting that the NCAA came out with this statement. That in itself is not the norm. Around every corner of the carefully worded letter, the NCAA tried to make it clear they were not saying nothing happened. Just that they could not prove it beyond ANY doubt.

That's what all the writers are saying as well.

1.  Free clothes.
2.  Bank loans.
3.  Cash payments.

That kind of minor stuff.

they sure act like they feel better , my guess is it's because they won't have a
crap team for the next 20 years like SMU did

"As I've said many times, I feel very confident about the way we run this program," Tigers coach Gene Chizik said Wednesday night. "I've said many times that we haven't done anything wrong, so quite frankly I moved on a long time ago."

Just too funny 'X' just too funny!!

OJ trail, and then some!

At the end of the Iron Bowl last year, scam ran around the whole stadium, not just to the A'burn section, but around the whole stadium with his hand covering his mouth like everything was a big joke. If I would have had one of my rifles I would have dropped his ass in his tracks. What a poor show of sportsmanship. On top of that the west ga ant hill band played rammer jammer. Sorry butts!!

I am absolutely stunned. I really wonder if Cheese It traveled to the
Crossroads in Mississippi and made deal with the devil. This is a first
class cover up that would make the Grassy Knoll crowd
take pause.

This is beyond bizarre.  How many times has the NCAA EVER looked into a program for 13 months and not found ANYTHING?  Something just doesn't add up with this whole deal.  There is a good bit of, "As with any case, should the enforcement staff become aware of additional credible information, it will review the information to determine whether further investigation is warranted" from the NCAA right now.
Also, how many times has the NCAA ever issued a school a letter like this?  I would seriously like to know, if anyone can find anything.  I'm thinking that the boogs are making much ado about nothing to try to cast their program in a better light.

The only question I have is, how many 2x4s does it take to buy an NZAA investigator?

Maybe the barn bank records aren’t the only ones that need reviewing.

Maybe their investigators were just tired of cows, fat women, and those crummy motels in Boogerland.

Laughing  I can certainly understand that.  I've had to spend 2 different weekends down there before, and I was beyond ready to leave shortly after I got there.
I've tried to find out if anything like this has ever happened before.  I cannot find one other case where the NCAA investigated more than one player over such an extended time period and did not find anything wrong.
