1.  JT
2.  DJ
3.  DeChambeau
4.  Spieth
5.  Westwood

 Snob

I second Chech's list.

McB, if y'all win, you'll have to split the money with him.

I'VE BEEN PLAGIARIZED.   Sad

Sorry Chech.  I misunderstood what this thread was about so I withdraw my second of your list.  If this list "wins" Chechem gets all the glory!

In the past year, Justin Rose couldn't hit the Atlantic from the wreck of the Titanic, but burned it up today. He has a 4 stroke lead on the field. Go figure. It is only the first day, however. Spieth would be in second if not for the double bogey on #9. JT struggled early but brought it back a bit and is at +1. Michael Thompson is at even par.

Preacher, not sure how you figure Chech has 3 of the top five. The only one on his list under par is Spieth at -1.

None of us are exactly Nostradamus, but we're all still in it. Like I said, it's early.

    No problem.
It looks like I should have picked Justin Rose anyhow!  He's -7 and far in the lead!
Maybe you should just list him 5 times!

 Laughing

Believe it or not, DJ, Rory, Koepka, Sergio, Kuchar and Westwood all missed the cut,  Shocked

JT and Spieth played very well today and Rose righted the ship and fought back to -7, where he began the morning. Spieth is at -5 and JT at -4. Still anybody's tourney.........well, except those that missed the cut.

Both our Bama grads are doing good work!

JT at 4-under, and Michael Thompson is playing solid at even par (T-21st).

JT imploded on #13 with a triple bogey dropping him all the way to -1. That pretty much killed him. Matsuyama is leading the pack at -11. Rose, Schauffele, Zalatoris and Leishman are all tied for 2nd at -7. Spieth is at -5 and still in the hunt. The rain delay pretty much put JT out of contention. Matsuyama will need to be run down tomorrow or this will be an unpopular Masters, at least for the Americans.

I think most of us are Spieth fans at this point. I know I picked Schaufele to win, but I'd rather see Spieth pull it out.

Yesterday, CBS announcers were saying Hideki  hasn't won on tour in 10 years.  I gotta give him credit for continuing to show up week after week and grind it out.  Would be a nice redemption story if he won but he has a history of collapsing on Sundays so I'm not counting on him to finish strong.

Rosie has been close many times at The Masters and you gotta wonder how many more chances he will have.  It would be a feel good story if he wins.  I'd be happy with that.

Jordan  has a good shot if he continues to keep his drives in the fairway, and, he can clean up his short game & putting for the softer course and slower greens.  If he wins it would cap his comeback big time.  I'd be happy with that too.
