The corndogs were too much for us.  They played a clean game with few mistakes and deserved the win.

Time to get ready for Mississippi State!

May have already been said but if you score 41 on your home field and lose by 5, it ain't on the offense.  We could've played better on both sides of the ball but LSU did outplay us.  At any rate, ROLL TIDE!!! And beat Mississippi State!  And rest Tua!

Looking at the stats the biggest difference is that Burrow ran for 64 yards, whereas Tua ran for minus 5 yards.   Thinking

This may be a little premature but is the Independence Bowl still in Shreveport? RTR!

Great game plan and execution by LSU. You have to give them credit for flat outplaying us. It was a gallant effort on the comeback, unfortunately, our D just couldn't stop them. Hard to believe a Nick Saban defense could look that bad. All those injuries finally caught up to us.

Preacher, I think we'll do better than the Independence bowl, but unless LSU stumbles along the way, we won't make the playoffs. Our SOS is just too weak, even if we stomp Auburn.

Stranger things have happened though, so we'll see.

I truly believe in my heart if we don't get another good defensive staff we won't win games. We could not have stopped Cleburne CO high School yesterday and that is bad. I know I pray till my nerves and back is killing me this morning. Up all night and will miss church today. RTR!

The early departures (who weren't NFL ready) and injuries killed our experience and depth on defense this year. Yesterday they went up against a talented offense and a QB who had a career type day, and there weren't enough playmakers to stop a hot QB. It happens that way sometimes.

We deal with a lot of turnover in my line of work. There days, and even weeks and months, where we're behind where we need to be in staffing, training, and leadership development, but we still have to open the doors and serve the guests. There are times where we utterly fail to meet the standards we've set for ourselves, and we're powerless in the moment to fix the problem because we just don't have the people to solve it immediately. Watching what little I could of the game yesterday - that's what I saw in Bama's defense.

The turnover with 1:00 to go before the half was the difference.

It takes a hot QB to beat us and Burrow was on fire. He played a great game and might have won the Heisman last night. He avoided about 10 sacks that we had him and somehow he escaped. LSU defense was better than expected too.
