GA punter shanked another one.

ND has just half a field now to win the game.

I have to give ND credit, they came to play. Congrats to Ga for the win. ND, not being in a conference, or being tested the rest of the year, is NOT in the conversation for playoff consideration.

One game doesn't always reveal what a team really has; my takeaway was not that Notre Dame can hang with elite teams but that Georgia doesn't look like an elite team. They're good, but they either had a poor game plan or poor execution tonight.

Well said, phil.
I was surprised that Kirby played into the underdog's hands.  For years under Coach Bryant we underestimated ND's ability to get up for one game against us.  They'd squeeze by Navy and Air Force, then play like "an elite team" against us.  Kirby needs to learn history.

I agree.  Georgia doesn't look like they're firing on all cylinders, yet, especially on offense.  Their defense looks pretty solid.  That might put them even with LSU, whose offense is lighting it up, but who gave up 38 points to Vandy.  Never thought I'd see the day when LSU unofficially joined the Big12.

Speaking of one game season teams, Clemson's toughest game this season was allegedly the Aggies, who went down hard against the Barn yesterday.  The ACC is weak this year.  Gives Clemson a full season of practice games, resting their starters, avoiding injuries...

Meanwhile, Bama keeps rolling on, with a schedule that shouldn't provide much of a test before November.  I probably shouldn't bring up Clemson's weak schedule, except all the talking heads keep saying that about Bama's schedule.  But no one else will face three potentially top 10 teams in the space of a month like Bama will.

Possible that Bowling Green, Duke, Navy, or mighty Michigan will challenge them.

Regardless, on COLLEGE FOOTBALL FINAL the talking heads were already erasing the game as a GOOD LOSS, "proving that Notre Dame belongs among the top-10 teams and worthy of consideration for playoffs".

Give me a break!   Angry

We shouldn't hear another thing about ND this year, but I bet we do.  Undecided
