Very impressed with the D. They played very well. It took the O weathering the Duke D flying all over the pacle to take control. After a slow start, Tua lit it up. Our receiving corp is probably the best ever to play for one team in college football.

Kudos to the team for a quality win.

It’s nice to see the Tide play again.  Not bad for the first game, plenty of things to work on.  Duke ran out of gas early and we can’t count on that with the SEC schedule ahead.  They were never really in the game offensively from the start.  We seemed a bit soft in the middle, but I thought the freshman linebackers played well and didn’t get out of position too much.  They both tackled well.

Looking forward to the season.

I think Tua grew up today. He took what Duke's D gave him and exploited it well. No bombs, but led the receivers in space and let them do what they do best. That pass to Forestall was a thing of beauty. He threw it where he had to turn around to make the catch, which repositioned him to beat the defender for a TD. Great stuff!

We have the same thing that needs work as the last few years. I think Will can do the job he just needs a lot of practice. Kicking the football has come such an experience. RTR!
