I've got to hand it to Arky and head coach Chad Morris. They had a great offensive game plan that gave us fits on D. He was the OC at Clemson and did a great job there, plus took an SMU team that's been dead since the 80's and made them respectable. I think he is a good hire. BB left him with very little and it will take him at least 2-3 years to make them competitive.

Having said that, our D has a long way to go. This D is not a plug and play like years past. All these kids are raw and apparently, slower to develop. The talent is there, though, but the O is definitely going to have to carry us this year.

Oh, and our O is pretty good.

I have to thank Chad Morris for exposing our defense before we face a better team.  Maybe those guys will work harder now.  I see the reasoning behind Saban's comments about defensive players who left early and would be playing this year.

I don't think BB left the cupboard bare, he just stocked it with beef when Morris prefers deer.

Our offense is definitely the best ever under Saban.

Our defense is definitely the worst ever under Saban, with the exception of Season 1.
