Friday update:

Slower fishing today than usual, but we had fun nevertheless.  It was cool this morning (39), but warmed to the 80s by 1PM. 

The eagles were swooping around the lake, and an osprey was diving on fish.  Also saw a flock of avocets (web pic, because they didn't come close to me).

Saturday and Sunday updates:

Saturday was a beatdown of #3 FSU.  Roll Tide. 

Sunday was great; 8 trout into the net and numerous others escaped.  Also, there were 4 Bald Eagles sitting in a tree watching us all morning.  Here are some Rainbow Trout:

I hate that about Francois. I think they still would've had a chance at the playoffs, even with the loss to us. I would say that's out of the question now.

I think they could possibly still make the playoffs.  Not sure of their QB ability at this point though.

Monday Holiday Update:

It's smoky in YNP now, due to all of the wildfires in Montana.  Real smoky and smelly!
Nevertheless, we fished in Hebgen and caught some nice fish.  Here are the biggest:

Tuesday update:

We spent the day in the Lamar Valley of YNP.  We wanted to find wolves, so we left the motel at 6AM.  By 7:30 we'd found a single wolf lying beside a river (Soda Butte Creek).  It was too far to get a good photo, so we moved to a new location and found 3 black Gray Wolves.  They were also lying down near a river (Lamar River).  We set up the telescope and watched for an hour.  Apologies for the fuzzy pics:









Then we went fishing.  A herd of bison came at us and crossed the river while we fished (we stop for nothing).  We caught a bunch of cutthroat trout, and I even got some underwater pics:
