Alabama faces USC in the season opener this Saturday in Arlington, Texas. The intrigue surrounding the matchup stems largely from the rich histories of the two programs. These days, the Crimson Tide rule the college football world, just as USC did roughly a decade ago. AL.com visited with Los Angeles Times USC beat writer Zach Helfand and asked him five questions.
