Can we save SIMS at QB?

Maybe.  He is a year behind AJ, so he might stick around.

One more tune up game before SEC play. I am expecting better play on the OL, but I never saw AJM take any big hits. Kicking game is still an issue but coverage has been excellent.

PSU is down 10-4 against the Tide but 11-3 if you correct the game Bama was cheated.  The biggest round of aplause from the 107,000 crowd was when Bolden managed to get up after getting nailed on their last drive (LOL). They suck and we have a NC to win.

Sim's dad is the one that is pushing for more playing time for him. I wouldn't be surprised at anything if AJ gets all of the playing time.

He needs to get used to the speed of the college game, especially in the SEC.  Maybe he can try again next year.

If he is thinking of transferring he needs to say so now so we can quit wasting reps on him. BTW, I am on the record as a AJM defender since last fall.

How does the O-line look now, boys?

Run blocking has been okay, pass blocking needs some work.

Really?  I thought pass blocking has been OK.  Only got to AJ one time that I can remember, and he still got the pass off.

Run blocking is not lookng good.

I hope he doesn't transfere. He is just not as good at this time. If he wants to sit and play, then he will get his chance to shine. Maybe a NC ring.

Pass blocking is ok, but the SEC play is gonna be tougher. The Running game has got to improve big time or LSU, Arkie, Tenn. Auburn will give us fits. Our defense is great all around. We do however have to get tougher for SEC play, the afore mentioned teams are going to be a offense to deal with in play.
Our kicking game is pitiful. Cade use to in high School kick it out of the endzone starting at the 40 or 45 yd. line is not good. We sure need more than Cody type punt when we play the big guys. I am afriad if we played a Boise St. today we would have had problems. Gosh, I love my team but what I just described scares me the rest of the year. Please, remember last year and when we lost our first game we looked mediocre. I north Texas will tell us a lot more of what we need to know. BAMA wins, BAMA wins! RTR!

He is only one play away from being the starting QB but his dad may not see it that way.

Yes, and that is not necessarily an injury to AJ.  1 boneheaded throw and a good spanking will sit him on the bench and give Sims a chance.
