My heart really goes out to Spieth. That had to be devastating to him.  Sad

Good interview with him afterwards.  It was about a half hour after the awards ceremony. People were criticizing Spieth for his demeanor during the green-jacket ceremony.  Spieth explained himself, and gave classy and in-depth descriptions of his thinking during the meltdown.  Said he used the word, "Meltdown", during exchanges with his caddy on the 12th.  THE MAN HAS CLASS!

Darn, I missed the interview. After he presented the green jacket to Willett in Butler Cabin, I turned it.  Angry
I missed the interview also. But, after what he just experienced the last few hours, he looked kind of in SHOCK! with a side dressing of major depression

Yep! And probably still in shock today.

So, this weekend the golfers will be at Hilton Head.  It's an odd course, out in a salt marsh along the bay.  Prolly illegal to build today.

Nice to sit under the shadow of the lighthouse, have a drink, and watch the golf.  We did that years ago.  It'd be a fun course to play.

As much time as I spend in SC, and as much as I travel throughout that state, I have never been to Hilton Head. Would love to see that course, as I enjoy watching it on TV.

There are many courses along the SC coast that are along the marshes. No new ones that I know of, though, so you are probably right.

I remember growing up and watching Palmer, and all the older guys playing on that course on TV. I think it was Pat Sumerall who use to call the games on TV and he made it sound so interesting to me. RTR!

It is, along with Nick Faldo and I think they are pretty good. I did enjoy Summerall and Ken Venturi in their day, as well. And say what you will about Verne Lundquist and his football announcing shortcomings, but he is an icon calling the shots at #16 at the Masters.
