A couple of months ago she gave Nick's Kids $250.000.

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- Grammy-winning country music artist Taylor Swift has donated $150,000 to the Tuscaloosa City Schools' Disaster Relief Fund to benefit the schools impacted by the April 27 tornado.

Alberta Elementary School, University Place Elementary School and University Place Middle School each will receive $50,000 as they seek to replace supplies and materials following the devastating storm that ripped through the city.

Even though I don't care for her music, Miss Swift has a commendable pattern of charity work the last few years for sure.  Great to see that out of someone so young!

I don't care for her music either. My daughter likes her. She is knocking down the coins. Plus she is real young, in her early 20s. She has a choice between donating to causes like Tuscaloosa or give that money to the IRS. She must have some good people that handle her affairs.

I have a ton of respect for Taylor Swift. She plays an instrument and writes her own songs. She is very mature for her age. He seems to have a kind heart and willing to share her wealth will the less fortunate. My kids listen to her all the time. I even like some of her music.

I also am not a fan of her music, but I very much respect how she chooses to use the fortune she has been blessed with, and appreciate how she is helping out T-town and Alabama so much. Plus, she ain't hard to look at, either.

Believe me pmull, my thoughts were totally in the "she is certainly an attractive young lady" vein and not the dirty old man way!    She is the kind of girl I wouldn't mind my son dating (of course my son is 4 and thinks girls are icky right now, so probably wouldn't work out)

We use to say  watch out for girls, they have 'cooties'. That word was first written in To Kill a Mockingbird. That wasn't the only colorful words in that book either. I wonder if they will make it PC like Mark Twain's books.

I still tell my 16 year old son to be careful around girls and don't catch any "cooties".
