I was listening to Jay Barker and Del Greco this morning and a caller challenged Del Greco as to why Dyer wasn't practicing. Del Greco would not make a statement as to why he wasn't practicing and he said Cheezit had every right to not discuss certain matters. Jay then asked the caller what he thought the problem may be and he said he wanted to know more about an air pistol that Dyer owned. Jay or Del Greco didn't say much about that.

Del Greco didn't really want to talk about Dyer other than just to say it must be something that Cheezit didn't want to discuss. Usually Del Greco is nothing but a "know it all loudmouth" about any of the Barn issues.

I have read on other measage boards that the gun belonged to Dyer but was registered in his 24 year old girlfriends name. Now an air pistol. The report below said Dyer was a witness and a gun and air gun were recovered during the arrest.

Very interesting. It is about time for the trees are dying report.

Wide receiver DeAngelo Benton, defensive back Neiko Thorpe and running backs Michael Dyer and Anthony Morgan were among the witnesses requested by the Lee County District Attorney’s Office.

According to Auburn police, one handgun, an air gun and the stolen property, including victims' cellphones and the safe, were recovered during the arrest.

I read that as one real gun and one air gun.

Chizik had this to say about Dyer after practice today:

Quote
Coach Gene Chizik said running back Mike Dyer "is getting better" from his undisclosed injury.

"He's beat up and banged up," he said.

Dyer was on the sidelines during the scrimmage.

Chizik said "I don't have any reason to doubt" that he'll be ready for the opener.

I call BS on the beaten and banged up. If they were hitting constantly he wouldn't be that beat up. Is he the only RB going through drills.....BS!!!!!

I think he practiced like 2 or 3 times and he's "banged up?' I think he may really be 'fracked up' if he's in any way nvolved in that robbery or other misdeeds.

If it turns out that he's not actually 'beaten up', which is likely, then that means chizeck is a liar, which means he's probably a sociopath, which explains the hire.

The barn beat writers are awful. I don't read the barn arcticles that often but I have been trying to find out why Dyer is not practicing. The barn beat writers are like puppets writing whatever they are told to report. We are getting daily reports from the Bama practices about the bandage on Hightowers hand and how Eddie Lacy's arm is protected. Even a hurt player does not just stand on the sideline. I agree with the earlier posts, I call BS on missing practice because he is "banged up".
