Should the American Flag Be Banned -- In America

I have in my home a 48 star flag given to my Mother upon the death of my Father..Pfc. James M. Bishop, WW II, Apr 24, 1945, Tittling, Germany, 21st Armored Inf Battalion, 11th Armored Division.

I fly this flag on the one day a year it is permissible to fly a flag other than the official 50 star flag..and I BEG any liberal, *ssh*h*le, c*cks*cker who thinks I don't have the right to fly this or any other flag to come on down and let's have a man to man "discussion", I will be talking with a fully loaded weapon.

S*ck-*ss communistic liberals and politically correct educators are welcome to join in, I will have plenty of "words" (ammo) for all of you.

We have some of these at our beloved U of A...I have seen them, heard them, and they walk among us.

A pox on them all.

What probably happened here is that somebody got their little feelings hurt about something and their parents went running to the ACLU, the most liberal, arrogant, worthless pos , oxygen wasting, dutchbags ever to walk this earth. Nothing would make the ACLU happier than to bring this country to it's knees, and if something doesn't happen soon, they will. I read a while back that the ACLU has only lost one court case that it's been involved in. I would tell you what ACLU REALLY stands for, but I would be banned.

BTW, the Navy Seals shot down in that helicopter were from the same unit as the ones who killed Bin Laden. None of those killed were actually on the Seal team 6.

 It's sad this is happening but there is more disrespect toward the American Flag and National Anthen now than I have ever seen. When I attend events where each is recognized it just amazes me at the people that have no respect for either.

I don't tell this to toot my own horn, but some years ago, a new elem school opend up in our town here in SC..It so happened that while waiting to get my hair cut, I overheard a lady say that the principal of this new school had forbade the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance!

I went to the next school board meeting, asked about their policy on the pledge, and was assured that there was to be no ban at any school. I made it a point to go to this school, and tell the principal of the board's policy, and told her that if the Pledge was banned by her, I would be bringing suit.  I then wrote a letter to the school's PTA..many parents also wrote letters. I did not even have any kids in the school system, but it burned my *ssabout this principal.

Point is, folks, we GOTTA stand up for what we believe!  The politically correct liberal *ssholes dont' have all the rights!

Tennessee Woman Told to Remove American Flag Outside Her Optometry Office

Dawn Kamin said she would expect opposition to the flying of an American flag in more liberal parts of the country – but not the suburbs of Memphis, Tenn.

Kamin said she was ordered to remove an American flag she had posted outside her optometry office.

“I was just appalled,” said Kamin, who runs Affordable Eye Care in Germantown, Tenn. “It’s the American flag. Really?”

Really.

According to a letter sent to Dr. Kamin, the flag pole and the flag violated the bylaws of the business condominium group. She was told to take down the flag or face the consequences.

Officials with Tesco Properties told Fox News Radio they would not comment on specific issues related to the flag controversy “as they should be dealt with in the appropriate manner between the parties and not through the media.”

Kamin said she was flying the flag to honor the military.

“I have family in the military and we have really become aware of our freedoms and what our soldiers do for us,” she said. “It’s not tacky. It’s just out of respect for our military and the wonderful country that we have the privilege of living in.”

Kamin demanded to see the business condominium’s bylaws, but she said so far Tesco Properties has not complied.

She said the condo association told her that if the flag was not removed by August 22, they would remove it and she would be required to cover the costs. Kamin said that’s not going to happen – and now she’s got an attorney.

“I intend on flying it as long as I possibly can,” she said.

If I could afford it, I wouldn't mind chipping in to cover her attorney's fees. Good for her.

The Honorable American Flag Will Fly


Sales of American flags have increased as the 9/11 anniversary draws near. These flags are a symbol to unite beneath, to honor America and our heroes. Hopefully, they can also serve as a reminder to remain vigilant in the fight to protect America and provide America’s defense with all the tools they need to continue the job of doing so.

One flag sales website, NYCwebStore.com, said customer interest in 9/11 anniversary flags started in January and demand is currently 2-3 times more than in 2010 so far. Other flag stores have echoed the growing trend.

As Rep. Ted Poe (R-TX) recently wrote:


Shortly after the tragic September 11, 2001 attacks on our great country, Americans all over the world raised up ‘Old Glory’ in patriotic understanding of the events that had just befallen our country. The American Flag has always been a symbol of bringing our nation together in good times or bad.


On foreign lands, Americans can see it flying from afar and know they are within distance of friends. One of the most famous photos in history is that of Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong planting the flag on the moon.

There is a reason a 10 section “Flag Code” exists, a meticulous and sacred policy that protects the honor of America’s most visible representation. Section 8j says,

The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing. Therefore, the lapel flag pin being a replica, should be worn on the left lapel near the heart.
But we should not lose sight of those who wish to destroy what the American flag stands for.
