Yes, unfortunately you are going to have to do it the hard way if you want to do it.  If a troll ever comes in here and accuses me of gaming the e-cred because I am an administrator I want to be able to say that I have never given myself e-cred except for the times that I ran an automated process that gave e-cred to the entire board.
