The ESPN highlights literally do not show a single Bama basket. They do not even show, even for a second, a Bama player in possession of the basketball. I see we played them to within two in the 2nd. That's as close to good news as we get tonight.

The worse it gets the more respect I have for Levi, playing his heart out every game.

Yes, Bama played a better second half, which is typical of this team.

I heard the announcers say that Kentucky had its highest FG % of the season in this game.  They were hot, more talented, and Bama had no chance.

I changed the channel to watch Duke v. Virginia.  A very good game with two very talented teams.  The talent on the court was something you don't see watching Bama playing, except when they play KY.  Duke hit two late threes and went on an 11-0 run in the final few minutes to give Virginia their first loss of the season.

The main thing Bama is missing is a good Big player under the basket.  Between lack of rebounds and poor passing (turnovers), Bama has frequently shot themselves in the foot this season.  If they weren't sloppy with the basketball, this Bama team could actually be towards the top of the SEC.  If they had a decent Big guy under the basket and stopped the turnovers, they might even be second to Kentucky.

Taylor & Kessens could fill that bill if properly coached & developed. I say again, everything starts with coaching. That's what has everyone so frustrated with Grant, we have such potential going to waste.

I'm not defending Grant's coaching. The lack of inside play goes to recruiting, I think, as much as player development.  The sloppy play, and other issues pointed out continually by announcers, does go to coaching.

I know you aren't. I'm just expressing my own deep frustration and why on earth he was given another year to give us the same lousy coaching to the university & sport I love.

Banging your head against the wall. Banging your head against the wall. :

I would say the reason Grant got more time is because Mal Moore died. There is not a chance in this world that Bill Battle would have fired anyone when he first arrived unless Judy Bonner had told him to and that wasn't going to happen. Battle has given Grant 2 years which I consider the norm under those circumstances. I firmly believe that there will be a coaching change in the near future so let's move on because there is nothing that can change what has already happened, only in the future can something change. I've enjoyed reading the opinions on who might make a good coach at Bama, it's much more enjoyable to read.

This is what I assumed, but it's flawed thinking by Battle and why I keep speaking up. Fans must learn from the awful mistakes of the past or they will be repeated. I refer everyone to Dumbose, Shula, Hobbs, & now Grant. When does this sink in to everyone but we still have fans talking about hiring an assistant to replace to replace Grant or Saban. We have the same problem with our baseball team right now. It never seems to end. I would rather talk about how good a certain program is and the accomplishments of the coach, not about getting rid of the coach & his possible replacements.

Hey MD, do you think we fans at Alabama are just to picky. Maybe we have been spoiled to being Champions and we think we should do it every year? RTR!

In football yes, but in other sports we are way too passive & "understanding." We must demand better for or basketball & baseball programs, and all programs in general.
