The story mentions when Kim Basinger bought a town in Georgia a number of years ago. I had forgotten about that. Turns out Kim had to sell.

A branch of one of the Toomer's oak trees.  Isn't that where we are going to build this pacle?  I just hope his branch is in the same tree as mine...

I can work from anywhere that has broadband/phone. We could start our own CRIMSON CULT. With the wide range of diverse talents/skilz on the board this plan is probably doable, however silly it may be. There are oilfield/computer tech jobs galore in ND/SD at the moment. If we all chipped in $8000 for the purchase, then resold individual sites to everyone, this (and revenue from the reality show) would start the town coffers. The devil being in the details-- what kind of shape is the town in at present?
