Not surprised.
I may not know pick-'ems, but I know 18-year-old kids.

Some strange lines on games. A&M over Ole Miss by 3, Oregon by 3 over UCLA, Baylor by 10 over TCU, etc. What was the spread for Alabama/Arkansas? What the heck is going on?

 Huh?

Well TA&M could be at a great time against Ole Miss. They just came of the biggest win in school history. They may have that big let down that most everybody has after the big win. Just a thought. RTR!

Holy Moly! We just lost to Ole Miss and we are favored by 9 1/2? That is crazy in my thinking. I believe Arkansas is going to be better than the Rebels this season. These odd makers try everything to get inside these kids head. RTR!

I wonder if Vegas got burned so bad last week that they are being extra careful this week?

 Nah

 Nah

If Vegas got burned they were doing it wrong.  They set the lines so that they can get just as much money on both teams, and then they get a cut of the bets.  This is why you will see the line change sometimes.  If people are betting more money on one of the teams, they will take some points from that team to make it more attractive to bet on the other team and try to balance everything out.  If they do it right, they make money regardless of which team wins.

I still don't really know who is a contender and who is a pretender. Definitely, USC was over rated but I can not get a line on UGA (I think they are shaky at best), Arkansas (over rated but we shall see), Ole Miss, Miss. State, etc. Same goes for Oregon, UCLA, Oklahoma, TCU, & a few more. Something tells me Spurrier will be much more humble the rest of the year.

 Huh?
