Betting against Maryland is always a good bet!

Couldn't agree more!  Laughing
WVU will own the Terps.

I think Rutgers may knock off PSU in a mild upset.
Funny thing is last year, everyone was saying the same thing about WV, and they got owned by the Terps, 37-0 .  The thing about the pass attack is that it's like playing darts, some days you're hot, some days you're not.  I think WV wins too, but the Vegas folks are keeping the spread low for a reason.

Rutgers is playing well this year, but I'll probably go with PSU.

I don't anticipate any major upsets this week.  Tennessee has two unimpressive wins against weak opponents.  Their fans seem excited, but I don't see them going into Norman and winning.  Or even covering the spread.

Texas is toast.  No way they beat UCLA, even if UCLA underperforms.

UGA looks good and USCe... hasn't.  I expect Georgia to win big.

What's maddeniing is that USC is so unpredictable. Remember when they upset #1 Alabama in 2010, then turns around and loses the next week to Kentucky? They can look awful one week then like world champions the next. I won't be surprised if they beat Georgia.

 Huh?

 Huh?

Same with Texas. Ole Miss beat them like a rented mule, last year, then Texas turns around and stomps the Stooper Sooners. I'm not counting the Horns out against UCLA.

Good point & you're right, but I think that was part of the Mack Brown schizophrenia. The program was so convoluted no one knew what to expect with them.

Agree with you guys about Texas and USCe.  Spurrier has owned the dogs lately, the game is in Columbia, and the spread is 5.5 points GA.  Common sense, and the way the Gamecocks have played would make this seem like an easy pick, but it isn't.

Same with UCLA v. Texas.  Texas stuck it up again against BYU, but UCLA is way overrated.  Still, I can't in good conscious pick the Longhorns.

Unless, you got a feeling about any of these games MD?   Grin

I'm starting to get one about USC over Georgia, but it could be hemorrhoids, so I'm still pondering it.

South Carolina has won 22 of its last 23 home games at Williams-Brice Stadium, and the team’s only loss in its last eight came against Texas A&M two weeks ago. Yet the Gamecocks are underdogs, according to Vegas oddsmakers, to which quarterback Dylan Thompson said he pays no attention.

“We were favorites against A&M and we lost, so I don't listen to what they say,” he said.

If Thompson were a betting man and not an NCAA athlete, he would probably wager on South Carolina after learning that his team is 5-1-1 against the spread in the last seven meetings with Georgia. The Bulldogs are also just 1-4-1 ATS in their past six road games and 3-7-2 vs. the line in their last 12 overall.

Very solid info but there is something I had forgotten about:

Quote
The Bulldogs jumped into a tie at No. 4 this week, even though they have been off since routing Clemson 45-21 on Aug. 30.

UGA has had a week to prepare for USC, while USC has had to re-assemble after their A&M calamity and their struggle with ECU. I'm still pondering.
