I was interested to see the Columbo fans in my other thread. In one episode they accidently revealed his first name. Do you know what his first name was and how it was revealed? Only a true Columbo fan will know this. No cheating by doing internet research, since I think everything is now there.

Seems I remember it not being haughty or flashy like napoleon or theodore. Just a plain name like ed or bob or ralph. I give up.

HINT:  Actually, his name is very common for an Italian, so it makes sense. And no it is NOT Guido!
