I pity So. Carolina if they face the Tide. They will be torn to pieces by the Tide.

Y'all said that last time, too.    It's cool.... Time's they are a changin'.  We definitely don't have a push over team.  There's a reason why many are picking us to win the East.

USC was picked by default to win the East. Tennessee is in disarray due to Kiffin, Georgia is going through a stagnant phase with Richt, and Florida is going through a change of coach and offensive philosophy. That leaves only USC, Kentucky, or Vandy to win the East. Great company, huh? Actually, I think Georgia can win the East, but USC should be the favorite.

South Carolina returns 100 percent of its passing yards, 81 percent of its rushing yards, 79 percent of his receiving yards, 73 percent of its tackles and 79 percent of its sacks from last year’s team..... We weren't picked by "default".

And you still finished 9-5 with an embarassing loss in the SECCG. This could be Spurrier's last chance to show he can win big at SC and whether you believe it or not, Florida, UT, and UGA have have  problems coming into the season. That's good news for SC & Alabama since we play UT and UF this year.

I have to agree that South Carolina is the favorite from the East.  Garcia + Jeffrey + Lattimore...if the OL is ok the offense should be great.

I know we don't have the history like Bama does, but it's called building a program and that's what we are doing.  We have gotten better and better each year and will continue to by getting better recruits.  We are a better team then we were last year because of the experience we are returning at the key positions.

Jody, I'm not trying to start a fight. I enjoy you coming on here and talking with us. I respect the SC program and CSS. But here's my thoughts:
1. I can not explain the Bama game last year except SC played your best game of the year.
2. Georgia, Florida and Tenn were both down last year which helped you a lot.
3. I pick GA, FL and then SC this year. Thats my opinion. On paper SC looks good but history is leading me to GA and FL over SC.

You're trying to build a program with a 66 year old head coach, in a state not known for a lot of FB talent, in the toughest conference in the NCAA, at a school with almost zero football tradition. I appreciate your zeal, but the reality is I don't see it happening. Even if SC does very well this year, then most everyone graduates and SC is back in the same boat it was before. Plus, Florida, Tennessee, and Georgia aren't going to be down forever. Basically, you're trying to climb Mt. Everest while wearing a bathing suit. Hope springs eternal so keep the faith.

I want to see SC make it to the SECCG and play Alabama because of last year. The big game would be great to see a growing program and a monster program play. Hmmm.... Looking back at "Rivals 100" from 2010, 2011 and 2012 the state of Alabama had 10 (out of 300) on the list.... South Carolina had 11.  So don't tell me that means anything.  It's recruiting in Florida and Georgia for us.  You have to keep the top instate players and we have done that the last three years with Jeffrey, Lattimore and Clowney.

It amazes me how much y'all care about the past.  It's all about the future, baby!

We've had a lot of injuries this year, but the one thing I love about this team is they are scrappy.... I sure hope they don't sleep on UConn.... they beat the crap out of Clempson.  And thanks!  I hope we win it all this year, because we had 11 players drafted.
