Former Foley High School football standout Robert Lester has joined the Carolina Panthers' practice squad. Lester was trying to make the NFL team as an undrafted free agent out of Alabama, but the safety was released by the Panthers on Saturday as Carolina reduced its roster to the regular-season limit of 53.
