Judge allows former University of Alabama football player D.J. Pettway to leave state to attend Mississippi school

 On Thursday the attorney for Pettway, who is charged with two counts of second degree robbery, filed a request in Tuscaloosa County district court asking a judge grant Pettway permission to leave the state. "The defendant is making this request in order to attend school in Mississippi," according to that request. The request does not specify which school he will be attending.
