The lead is 11. We are getting sloppy. We need to get things cleaned up and finish this game strong

We have got very sloppy. Twelve turnovers in the 2nd half. We lead 58-50 with 3:24 to go. TT has the ball.

TT hits a three pointer to pull within four at 60-56. 2:12 to go.

Bama wins 66-62.

Bama was up 16 at the half and as much as 20 in the 2nd half but we let TT get it to a 2 point game late. Bama gets out of Lubbock with a win.

Down to the wire but Bama pulls this one out. Tired legs (2nd half was miserable) on the big 3 Releford, Lacey, and Randolph. A Lacey drive at the 2:30 mark brought Bama back up by 7 (60-53) and Releford FTs with 1:50 left combined with a Randolph bucket with 31 secs remaining allowed the Tide to hold on.

No help in sight with SEC play looming. We need big games from Pollard and Jacobs to round out a starting five worth SEC discussion. We will see.

Alabama gets a road win against a Big 12 team and stops the three game losing streak. This team needed a win and got it.

We played great in the first half. We shot the ball well, out rebounded TT and did not turn the ball over. The second half was the exact opposite. We lead by 16 at the half ans built the lead to 20 with 12:00 to go. We started standing around and TT hit a few shots. Once they got the momentum they went for the win.

Alabama pressured full court all night but dropped into a zone once TT crosed mid-court. CAG switched to man with 5:00 to go and TT making a run. We out rebounded TT 33 to 28 but TT got 14 off rebounds and most of those were easy put backs. Blocking out in a zone is difficult and we had trouble last night.

The offense looks good when Lacey starts the game on fire. He had 14 of our first 28 points hitting 4-5 three pointers. That opened things up and we scored 43 points in the first half. The second half was a different story. Too much staying around. We passed the ball around the perimeter and took several bad shots to avoid the shot clock violation. We did not try to get the ball inside. We did hit a few big shots down the stretch to secure the win.

Alabama shot 51% to TT 38%. We turned the ball over 20 times with most of those in the second half. TT only had 6 turnovers. The stat that hurt us the most is shots taken. We took 45 shots to TT 58. This was a result of turnovers and off rebounds by TT.

We do not have any more non conference road games. We play Mercer Sunday and still have non conference games against Tulane and Oakland. We should win all three of those games. We open SEC play at Missouri on Jan 8.

We must get better or we will struggle asgainst the better teams in our league and no games will be easy wins.

Thanks for the reports.  Glad to have the win.  They guys do seem to let off the gas when they get a lead... is that a young team or a tired team?  Opening SEC play v. Missouri is tough, probably the best team in the conference.

Great job guys. Thanks for the reads this morning. I have a question though. What is causing us to be so sloppy in second half? Could it be that we don't have the depth of good players or what? Just confused cause at the beginning of the year it seemed like we would be a more powerful team this year? RTR!
