Aloha everyone.  Looks like I will be flying home sometime this weekend or early next week.  Looking forward to getting back there too. Y'all stay safe through the storms...

Aloha Humpty folks.  Getting closer to when I come home.  Hope you all survived the storms and heat...

Hopefully this will be our hottest week of the summer.  Up until this week the temps had been relatively mild (for Alabama), though the humidity has been up.  This week we're baking and steaming at the same time.

Bummer news last night:   Cry

"U.S. pole vaulter Sam Kendricks out of Tokyo Olympics after positive coronavirus test"

Sam is from Oxford, and he lives near us.  LF and I went to a parade in his honor a couple of weeks ago.  He's the reigning world champion, and won the bronze medal in 2016 Olympics.  Just sucks.

I just cooked some lunch to take to some friends dealing with illness.   I'm sweating inside!  It might be a two shower day.

Aloha everyone.  I'm going to be changing my flights today so I can get home sooner.  TBD...

There was an 8.2 magnitude earthquake yesterday up in Alaska that triggered tsunami warnings.  Kauai was under a tsunami watch for a few hours.  Nothing happened though...I guess that's a good thing, right? Huh?

8.2 is a big 'un.  I haven't read any big news about it, so it must have been in mostly uninhabited territory and didn't cause and tectonic shifts or tsunami effects in the Pacific.  At least none that hit land.
