This year Jackson County has started issuing CCP cards that are very similar to driver licenses.  I like them a lot.  The old ones were susceptible to getting destroyed if they got wet.

Yes, I have a hard plastic one.  The whole application is online.  You get an email when the application clears and it takes about 5 minutes to have your picture taken and a card print at the Sherriff's office.

I've had my CCP for years and years. I remember a friend from work showing me his hard plastic CCP several years ago that Madison county was issuing. I wished then that Jackson county would follow suit.  Now they have...

I carry protection with me all the time and I do not have a CCP. Actually I don't need one for what I carry. RTR!

Actually, Alabama doesn't require a CCP any longer to carry a weapon. The only reason that I continue to get a CCP is because when I go outside the state of Alabama, I want to be able to carry. With the exception of when I travel for my job, I pretty much always do.   I just wish that I could carry when I come to work but the government says I can't bring a weapon on Redstone Arsenal.

In today's world, you better be packing.

Had my MRI today. Man, is that thing noisy. My PT guy read it and said I'm a mess. Spinal stenosis with a bulging disc on my left side, caused from scoliosis. That's what's firing up my sciatic nerve. I've got nearly compressed discs causing the pinched nerve and muscle on my right side. I'm hoping the specialist I see tomorrow can come up with some solutions.

That's what's firing up my sciatic nerve. I've got nearly compressed discs causing the pinched nerve and muscle on my right side. I'm hoping the specialist I see tomorrow can come up with some solutions.

Bummer, my friend.  Hopefully the specialist can offer something more positive. 
Meanwhile, you can sit back and enjoy the golf this week.  Should be a goodie.

Terrible fire news from Gardiner, Montana.  That's the town at the historic north entrance to Yellowstone.  Numerous buildings burned down in the heart of town yesterday.  High winds and tightly packed structures fed the fire.

I'm ready for the golf.  Hope it's another good tournament.  No idea who I'd pick to win. 

Hope you get some better news today about your back, etc.  Not sure I'd mention golfballing to the specialist, though.

I pray for you my brother. I absolutely know what you mean. I think with my swelling my tailbone may be splitting and my back hurts worse these days than ever before. I can assure you we both will be praying for you. RTR!

Well, 2, good you can see a specialist so quickly. They have more knowledge, of course, and I wish you the best of outcomes. Sounds like you've been golfballing in spite of pain. If you can put the game on hold for a while, maybe it'll help...but I'm not sure you can control your desire to whack golfballs.

Yes, LF and I stayed there for a week or so about 3 years ago.  It's where I bought groceries this year; visited almost every day during late May.  Lots of friends there; many Yellowstone employees live there.

  She puts up with me pretty well.

Well, I saw the specialist today and the good news is, I don't need surgery, even though he said I probably would on down the road. I go in tomorrow for some shots. The doc called them steroids, but the Pain Management people said they were epidural shots. Whatever they are, I just hope they work, at least for a while.
