Ole Miss has opened their exercise areas on campus, BUT you must request a session before going to exercise.

I just got this STUPID message from them about registering for a session:

Since you are a former employee, do you have to pay to use the OM facilities?  I've been paying for gym membership since 2004 non-stop.  I have thought about cancelling my current gym because the $$ is going to waste as far as I am concerned.  Plus, I have weights I can use at home and there is always plenty of physical work needing done around the house.

NALT, not sure if you're baiting us into encouraging you to drop the membership, or you want us to say you're stupid.

Yes, I had to pay even when I was an employee.  And technically I still am on the faculty (Professor Emeritus), but unpaid.

Neither actually.  The only reason that I have stuck it out with this gym is because I really like what they have equipment-wise and the have a really good price.  Plus, it is right on the drive home and not out of the way at all.

UAH in Huntsville has a GREAT gym that I joined in 2004 and stuck with up until about 3-4 years ago when I joined the one I now use.  For full-time students and full-time employees I believe it is free.  Part-time students and employees do have to pay but not even close to what the general public has to pay.

And I assume you're keeping the membership in case you have to rehab an injury, have a sudden collapse of body shapeliness, or just want to visit friends at the gym.
