Hey SC.  Long time no see. 

Hey, I actually had an idea for a way to improve the board's performance.  Maybe you could consider it?  Anyways, there is a board that I go to a lot that if there is a thread that you have visited and then go back to it a day or few later you will automatically be taken to where you left off.  That would make keeping up with certain threads here easier.  i.e. Chech's out west thread or the daily thread.  Whatchathink?  I'm not sure this board has that capability but maybe you could look into it?

  It does that already. 

Look in the upper right corner, under your big avatar.  Click on "Recent Unread Topics".  Also you can click on the "new" icon when looking at the different threads and it will do exactly that.  Recent unread topics just puts all of the topics with new posts onto one page so you can go through them quickly.

I'm not sure you quite understood what I meant because the "Recent Unread Topics" and "Updated Topics" buttons didn't do what I was hoping.  If a thread has say, 78 pages but I have only viewed the first 50 pages of it, when I click on the thread title it will take me to the first post that I had not viewed, page 51.  Or, if I had viewed page 50 but there were additional posts on that page that weren't there when I last looked at the thread I will be taken to the first post that I hadn't looked at.

NALT - instead of clicking the thread title or an individual page, click the blue icon that says "new" by any thread that has posts you haven't read.   It automatically takes you to the last post that you haven't read.

For instance, I just went to the Three Word Story or whatever it's called, clicked the blue "new," and it took me to a post on page 801.  That was where the thread was the last time I visited it.
