Good Sunday morning!

I hope everyone remembered to set their clocks ahead 1 hour. Now come on spring-like weather! It's 33 degrees here in Taylors, SC, but going up to 61 today.

I played golf yesterday, then came home and watched Arnie's tournament. The golf course kicked their arses yesterday. I've never seen so many triple and quadruple bogies in my life, except on my own scorecard.

Not a great day for Bama sports. The basketball team got embarrassed, the baseball team lost their first game of the year, but the softball team run-ruled Arky.

Good morning.  Coffee

Yes, the bb team is toast.  Shame.  I've moved on.

I missed the PGA tourney, but taped it.  Prolly won't watch much of it.

I went to the Ole Miss baseball game.  It was good for 3 innings, then OM scored 6 and left Princeton behind.  Final score was 18-4.  Princeton pitching finally wore out, and the game ended with their left fielder pitching.  True.

I'm supposed to meet my buddy again today for the game.  Hope it's better.

There's a guy currently on TWC named Garth Frazier, from the Natl. Center for Physical Accoustics at Ole Miss, talking about earlier tornado detection through 'sound'. You know him, Chech?

Good morning folks.  Yesterday was great.  Just cold enough to need a jacket but warm enough so that I didn't get cold.  Runt and I worked outside pretty much all day and enjoyed it.  I'm a bit sore this morning from it but that to shall pass...

Don't know him.  There's a lot of cool research at Physical Acoustics.  I once watched a night demonstration of insects dropping from the sky (onto a white sheet) when bat sounds were played.  Some beetles simply fold their wings and drop when they hear bats!

Sounds like an interesting program. I've never heard of it.

It's one of those federally funded centers on campus.  Senators get the money for the buildings and initiatives, which becomes seed money for grants and contracts.  Physical Acoustics and the Pharmacy Research group (called Natural Products Center) bring in big money.

Very possible.  Ole Miss has a legal patch of weed for "research purposes"!

I'm guessing 95% of the students apply for the job of 'tending' the crops?

Some frat boys were arrested for crawling under the fence a few years ago.  But generally the students prolly have their own supplies more readily available.

Have fun.
I'm going back to watch Ole Miss baseball, but my back is still stiff from sitting so long yesterday that I dread it a bit.  Maybe if I walk around more today it'll be okay...
