A preacher gave Mrs Dottie a blanket for her chair. My chair has a quilt and floor blanket, lol. I know ya'll prayed for me cause man the service was great and the people was all in the altar. Nobody even throwed a book at me, but their beans may have burned because I was there close to an hour. RTR!

Well I'll be a son of a gun. I went to bed with KC down 20-10 with about 10 minutes left in the game and Mahomes had just thrown an int. I thought it was over. Don't know how they did it, but they came back and won. Kudos to the Chiefs.

Played golf yesterday but it wasn't much fun between my sciatic nerve being on fire, and playing in 15-25 MPH winds. Today would be much better. Going up to 73 degrees today. Unfortunately, I have to work.

Good morning.  Coffee

Yes, with KC down 20-10 I announced to LF that "KC is done".  NOT!  Mahomes came back to life, SF forgot how to tackle, and the comeback was real.  Mahomes gets the MVP for playing well for less than a quarter.  Fun finish!

It was a pleasant 69 degrees here yesterday, but I didn't play golf.  I should have cancelled our plans for the afternoon and watched the women's basketball.  Jamos went to the game.  Bama beat Ole Miss 57-56 in a big comeback victory.  Woot.

Enjoy the day.  Football is dead for the season.   Sad

Yesterday was a significant date that hasn't happened in 909 years.  Write out the date and you might know why.

Good morning folks.  Yesterday was a looooooooooooooong day for me.  Youngest boy and I left home at 7:00 headed to Columbiana to pick up Runt.  Got 15 minutes down the road and remembered that I left my cell phone home.  Turned around and went to get it.  Left again and drove to Huntsville, then to Decatur, then to Birmingham and exited the interstate at Alabaster.  Drove on over to Columbiana where we got Runt.  Went to church in Columbiana and after that went back up the interstate to I459 over to Gadsden.  From Gadsden we went north on 431 to Boaz to see my youngest daughter.  Picked some things up from her after visiting with her a bit then drove home through Guntersville.  At home we just relaxed for about an hour and then we all left to go to my brother's house just northeast of Athens.  Spent time there with my Dad and three brothers divvying up Dad and Mom's jewelry.  Back home late and in bed at almost 11 last night.  I intentionally slept an extra hour or so this morning.  Feeling tired but not as bad as if I had gotten up at my normal time.

I did get one piece of jewelry that I have wanted for several decades.  It is a ring that my grandpa made himself.  Believe it or not, he made this very nice looking ring out of a nut.  You know, one of those "rightie-tightie, leftie-loosey" things that holds a bolt in place.   Grandpa had large hands so he had to use a pretty large nut.  Round file to smooth out the inside and a flat file to shape the outside.

Good morning, all.  It was a fairly uneventful weekend for me.  I'm rather glad that the Super Bowl is behind us.  I was getting tired of all the hype.

Bring on Tide softball/baseball, MLB, and spring practice!

Quote
Today is 02/02/2020 - the first palindrome in 909 years and the only time this century that the date will read the same forwards and backwards

This took me about 5 seconds to come up with:

12/02/2021

About 5 seconds later:

03/02/2030

What am I missing?

Ahh... this is a UK paper.  Those scalawags switch the month and the day of the month.

Hmmm... it still works though.  12th of February and December 2nd are both valid dates.  3rd of February and March 2nd are also both valid.

Huh?

It's Fake News.  Don't believe everything you read on the internet OT.

Debunking the 909 years part only took a few seconds also:

11/02/2011

Also works in the UK and the US.
