Well it is cold this morning 42 but feels like 39. Going up to 54 today so it is gonna be colder than usual. RTR!

Good morning all.

Yes ricky, it was cold yesterday morning and again this morning.  Going to get colder.

These damp humid days of near freezing are the worse. You can feel it in your bones.

Rain today.  Work for me.  I have a part-time job at a big box hardware store, sometimes working outside, driving a fork lift, loading mulch and rocks and plants and dirt and wall block.  Other days I mix paint. It pays, and it's better than a gym.  In a year, I've lost weight and gained muscle, so I can't complain.  Except for days like today when I feel it in my back and knees and the rest of my joints.  I think I lifted something wrong yesterday, loading a large tool box into the back of a truck.  Nothing serious, just my back reminding me, "don't be an idiot!"

NALT, I hope you survive the rain. Preacher, I hope your back holds out.

Chech arrived in P'cola about 10:30 this morning. We knew it would be way too windy to fish, but we did walk the beach near Portofino, just long enough for our ankles to get sand-blasted.

Then we went to the Mecca; 'Peg Leg Pete's'. Beautiful server Carmen was no match for Chech's sharp wit. She even bought him a beer in defeat. She bought me a pity beer, and a good time was had by all.

We then went to Ft Pickens where we watched about 20 people fishing from the pier on the sound side, and catching ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Made us feel much better about not trying to fish.

We finished the day off at 'TGI Fridays' for supper. The meal couldn't compare to 'Peg Leg's', but the adult beverages went down smoothly.

Thanks to Chech for coming down and bailing me out of the torturous manual labor Mrs 2 was putting me through.  Toast 4
Yes, we had a fun day. Thank goodness 2 knew the roads or I’d have gotten lost. He’s quite the host.

Today we are going to a gun show in Pensacola. Supposed to rain all day, so that’s the plan. Maybe we’ll end up battling another LSU-fan waitress like Carmen. By the way there was a rookie waitress at PegLeg who was in training. We may have ruined her. Not saying she was young, but she only had one tattoo!!

Off to breakfast.

.....one tattoo that we knew of.

CP, body parts remind me every day of what an idiot I am, lol!

Looking forward to us going to the gun show today. My grandson will be with us joining in on the fun. I just hate that rain is in the forecast. That will certainly keep us indoors. Could be worse. At least the weather won't be severe.

Y'all enjoy your Saturday.

Good morning folks.  Glad you made it down there safely Chech.  Hope you and 2 enjoy the gun show.  Mrs. Nalt is leaving tomorrow morning with her best friend to go to PCB for a few days.  That will leave just me and the two boys at home to fend for ourselves.  Looking forward to her getting some R&R for a few days.

CP, watch HOW you lift things.  Use proper technique and any mechanical aids that may be available.  Like YOUNG guys to do the lifting...

That's pretty much how men injure themselves, trying to do the same things they did when they were younger.   But it's all good, no long term consequences.

Yes, I used bad lifting technique, muscling an over-sized object into the back of a vehicle.  It felt good to have the strength to do it, like I'm 25 again.  And I'm glad my body at least has enough sense to remind me that I'm not 25, or even twice that, before I do something really stupid.

Good morning folks.  Mrs. Nalt will be travelling down to PCB today with her best friend.  Hope they and y'all all have save travelling.  Me and the boys are hoping to have some fun this afternoon and tomorrow.  Probably go over to Dad's pacle and chop leaves to make the yard look good.  Putting it on the market so I'm guessing this summer will be the first in several years that I don't have to mow those 3 acres.  Bitter sweet...

Mrs 2 and I are safely back in SC. Record time for the 2 of us riding together (7 hrs). I have traveled it by myself in 6 hrs and 20 minutes. That's been a while.

Preacher, I hope y'alls backs have improved.

NALT, I know that is indeed, a bittersweet situation. Unfortunately, time doesn't stand still.

Good to know 2. Hope you and Mrs 2 have a great week. Everybody else be safe and stay warm. I guess Mrs Dottie and I will be up all night trying to stay warm. RTR!

Good Monday morning. Back to the office today, so I've got to get back in work mode. I'll need to dress up to do it. It's 26 degrees right now.

Good morning folks.  21 degrees here too but I don't know what it "feels" like.  Too cold though.  The boys and I are taking the MIL to Guntersville this morning to get some pecans cracked.  She is going to take us out to eat then pick up her pecans and back home.  Once we drop her off at home we will be going over to Dad's house to mow the leaves and help cut some firewood.

I took the boys fishing yesterday afternoon upon the youngest (11 y/o) request.  He loves the cold and never complains about it.  He complained about it yesterday so we didn't stay very long.  The wind was the worst part though...
