Anyway it looks like our volunteering at the store may not last long we are going through a very dry spell. Mrs Dottie said she made 5.30 yesterday. lol. RTR!

PRAISE REPORT: A man that worked for a master Car mechanic building engines in B'ham has set up a shop in Heflin, saw his ad this morning and God sent us to him about our car. He will put new automatic shidt cable on it for 85.00 and save the wrecker bill by going and getting it and setting the gears and driving it to his shop. Mrs Dottie and I are so grateful after all the prayer we have been answered. RTR!

Good afternoon folks.  I slept late this morning because it was late when I got home last night.  My Durango transmission broke down yesterday morning so I went home and got the van.  Drove it to work then over to the house where Dad and Mrs. Barbara live for a "family meeting" of sorts.  When I was leaving work the transmission was slipping badly.  Give it gas and it just very slowly starts moving.  Took a long ways to get up to speed...I drove it on over there and after the meeting I called AAA to get it towed home. Fortunately I have a Chevy Suburban that Dad gave me that is still in good running condition.  It is just really expensive to drive...

Glad you found someone to help you Preacher.  2, I don't blame you for taking it easy and resting.  Seems like you have been pretty busy for a while...

NASLT Mrs Dottie and I are praying you all get some help with those auto's like we did. It seems I need to take a course and get back like I was in the 60's 70's and 80's. I use to do everything from building an engine to repair work and I got into the electrical business and left off cars. That was a booger of a mistake. RTR!

Good morning folks.  Looks like the rain has stopped.  Also looks like I may have another vehicle in the works.  Mrs. Nalt's best friend has a small Ford Ranger that she is willing to sell me. She actually told me to come and get it and drive it as long as I need too but if I want to buy it I can do that too.  I've seen it and like it so I'm thinking we're going to buy it.  1999 Ranger, 4 cylinder, 5-speed manual.  I asked her  how many  miles are on it.  Her reply, "100K, 200K, I don't know.  A lot."

Well some of those Ford Rangers have a durable engine like my S-10 p/u. Mine has 245000 on it and still cranks at the touch and runs great. Of course I change my oil every 3000 miles and the oil is the life of an engine. RTR!

I have had two Rangers already.  I bought a 1987 Ranger off the show-room floor and put 287,000+ miles on the 2.7L V-6 engine.  It was actually still running pretty good when I parked it.  I then bought a 1993 one a few years ago with a 2.3L 4 cylinder but have no idea how many miles were on it when I bought it or when the engine blew last year.  Sold both to guys that I work with to fix up.  If I buy this one it will be my third.  They are great trucks.

The first new vehicle I bought was a 93 Ranger.  Seems like mine had a straight 6.

It was a great little truck.

The 93 Rangers came with three engine options.  A 2.3L 4 cylinder, a 3.0L V6, and a 4.0L V6.

Those 4.0 V6 would fly and pull like a monster for a small truck. RTR!
