Yes, it's Friday and Mother's Day is Sunday.  I'll have to hug a surrogate this year.

Big win for the softball team indeed.  Good stuff.

At least the rain doesn't arrive today until noon.  Originally we were supposed to have continuous rain for 4 days.  We got a break last night and this morning.  My rain gauge is exhausted.
 

We've gone from looking like Bismarck, ND to an Amazon rain forest in a matter of weeks. El Nino and Chaac can kiss my a$$.

I-29 north of Kansas City was washed out last month.  Parts of it reopened yesterday.

Hey everyone.  I made it to work out in Colorado Springs.  Flights weren't too bad except for the guy sitting next to me from Dallas to COS.  I don't think he has brushed his teeth in a couple of weeks.  His breath could peel paint from a 100 y/o building...  Looks like I'll have the weekend off and my buddy that I am filling in for is going to loan me a fishing rod or two so I'm hopeful that I can catch something, anything (as long as it is a fish)...

Hey everyone.  I made it to work out in Colorado Springs.  Flights weren't too bad except for the guy sitting next to me from Dallas to COS.  I don't think he has brushed his teeth in a couple of weeks.  His breath could peel paint from a 100 y/o building...  Looks like I'll have the weekend off and my buddy that I am filling in for is going to loan me a fishing rod or two so I'm hopeful that I can catch something, anything (as long as it is a fish)...

1.  Good, we need that guy at Habitat for Humanity.

2.  Good.  Don't be afraid to visit a fly shop and hire a guide.  Then you'll certainly catch something!

Mrs 2 and I had a good night tonight. Monday is her birthday, so I got tickets to see the group 'Alabama', here in Greenville. They were very good. Charlie Daniels opened for them. For an 83 year old man, he is still high energy. Both groups lit the civic center up.

The only drawback was me having to stifle myself during 'Dixieland Delight'.

Rained all day yesterday here and foggy last night.  Not raining right now, but more coming in from the west and south later this morning.  WTH??

At least we don't live in Houston.  They got over 10".

Hope you get the golf in.  It's too wet to do anything outside here today, so I'll start packing for the trip west.  Most everything is ready, except I need to prepare some rigs for lake fishing.  Got a report that the lake is 90% clear of ice.  It was almost 60 degrees there yesterday - woot!
