Good morning. Very tough day yesterday. My nephew was killed in a car accident yesterday morning on I-95 in Vero Beach. He was my oldest brother’s oldest son. Very heavy heart today.

Been a tough couple of years for my family, particularly my oldest brother. A couple of years ago, he lost his 22 year old granddaughter to complications from cystic fibrosis. Then in October, we lost our other brother and now this. I’m waiting to see what the arrangements are so I can go down there to be with him.

Thanks guys. From what I was told, Chech, was that he was passing an 18 wheeler when it had a blowout. The rig clipped his car and it spun 180 degrees and then he was hit head on by a car behind him.

Thanks to all of you. Haven't gotten details for his service yet. He is being cremated and there is a waiting period before they can cremate him.

Not there is ever a good time, but this is bad timing for me to get down there. Lots on my plate, but I'll get through it.

Good morning, folks. 

It was nice here yesterday, so I took the chainsaw out for a walk in the woods.  Our property includes 5 acres of woods.  A large pine tree had fallen across the trail this winter, so I busied myself cutting it into 7-8' sections.  After the first tank of fuel I was sweaty.  After the second I was lying on the ground sucking in air and cooling down.  "Enough exercise for a retiree", I told myself.  Took a shower and sat to read.  RETIREMENT.

A chilly 29 degrees here this morning. Discouraging for walking purposes. Guess I'll just sit here and watch the news. Still no info on services for my nephew.

Good morning folks.  Still pretty chilly here but I'm not sure of the actual temp.  Colder than I like regardless.  Don't overdo things Chech.  Running a saw isn't easy and is extremely dangerous.  My shoulder is still improving but that is slow.  Still a good bit of pain too but thankfully I still have plenty of my little white friends... I just wish the healing would go faster... 2, still thinking/praying for you and the family regarding your brother...

Thanks NALT. Need extended prayers for my nephews wife. On top of her grief at the loss of her husband, her sister was also in an accident last night and is in the hospital.
