Looks like Harvey made landfall. 40" of rain expected along the coast of Texas. Prayers to all affected.  Pray

Another work week behind me. Looking forward to some R&R today and maybe golf tomorrow. What y'all got going? I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that Chech will be fishing.

We lived down there at Seadrift, TX one time and it is so flat that much rain will be so destructive some of those small fishing towns may never return. RTR!

Much of East Texas will take a long time to recover from this if the forecast and track is accurate.

Good morning everyone.  I really hate that you guys have to suffer through fishing and playing golfball and such.  I wish you could all get to enjoy life like I do, by mowing grass... Boy!  I sure know how to live it up and have some fun, huh?

Hey NALT I thought about cutting grass today but it is so cloudy I am afraid it will rain before I can finish. Ya'll have a great day in the sun and Chechem looking for that big fish today. I was wondering are the trout like you catch good eating? I know you fish for the sport but it was just looming I know we use to eat crappie, bream, catfish and snapper. RTR!

Preacher, I think I would have gotten started with that mowing if I were you.  If the rain starts you can always stop at that point.  When it starts though it is likely to rain for several days and that is going to make the grass grow even taller making the next cutting that much more difficult.

2, any time you want a lesson or few on how to mow just holler at me and I'll set up a class for ya...  Wink

Well, you were a little late in responding, so I went and played golf. Shot an 81 with a 37 on the back 9. Never mind, NALT, I think I'll stick to golf.

Play on then while you can.  Just keep in mind that next week we may need to rendezvous at Preacher's house to help him cut hay...  Wink

Less than a week til kickoff!!!  Dancing Got my vote in last night.

I wasn't even aware there were any college games yesterday. Got back from golf in time to watch Jax St beat 'Nooga, and Stanford stomp Rice in Australia, although I admit I couldn't stay up for it all. Didn't care to watch the fight. I figured it would be boring and from what I heard, I wasn't wrong.

Good morning.  Coffee

Preacher: Yes, the trout are good to eat.  Many people keep them, but not us.  As you said, "sport".  We have an agreement with the fish.  If they bite we'll throw them back!

Fight?  Heard there was a Mayweather fight, but didn't hear the outcome.  Isn't he old?

Off to the lake again in 30 minutes.  Today is the day to catch the BIG ONE.

UPDATE: MAYWEATHER WINS BY TKO IN 10.

Good morning folks.  Yes, Mayweather won last night.  Though I can not say for sure, I personally suspect this fight was rigged for him to win for a couple of reasons.  One of those being a rather hot-button political issue in our country right now so I won't go into that.  The other reason I feel this way is because with this win Mayweather broke Rocky Marciano's long-standing record of wins without a loss or draw.  Hand picked opponent to get the record?     Regardless, he won and McGregor lost.

Preacher, did you get much rain yesterday?  I hope the fish are biting for Chech and the golfball plays well for 2 today... I have to borrow a trailer or tow dolly and go over to Decatur to pick up Mrs. Nalt's van.  It broke down on us over there yesterday afternoon and I just can't bring myself to pay a tow company $400 to haul it the ~60 miles home... I'll be doing that this afternoon after church...Priorities...
