Good morning, Alabama fans.  Coffee

Nice to be home.  Back to the relaxing routine!  We had over an inch of rain yesterday; all day.

Prayers for those affected by the attack at Ohio State yesterday, for those who lost homes to the wildfires near Gatlinburg, and for the families of the Brazilian soccer team killed in last-night's plane crash.

 Sad

Good morning folks.  Sad to hear about the plane crash.  Also a bad situation up in Gatlinburg.  Hopefully they will get those fires put out before very much structural damage happens.

Wow! What a tragedy. Reading the story about the plane crash broke my heart.  Sad

Prayers to the families and few survivors.  Pray

Prayers to the OSU affected and people in Gatlinburg. I was hoping they would get enough rain last night to put out the fires.

Glad your home safely Chechem. It is so sad how we can go to bed and wake up to such tragic news each day. Mrs Dottie and I also pray for the families and in situations that is brings heart ache. I know what it is like to have a child die and it is the most painful thing I really don't know if deep down we are ever going to get over it.
Thanks to Jesus for the wonderful rain we got last night. It was like the hardest rain I ever heard and it just kept coming down. I would just guesstimate we got probably at least an inch or maybe 2". Suppose to get more today. Hey everybody have safe and Blessed day. May you prosper in all your endeavors. RTR!

Incredible video of fires in Gatlinburg.  Over 100 homes lost or damaged; hotels burned.

Lots of talk today about Alabama's record.  Critics on PF are saying Alabama's opponents weren't as strong as originally believed.  Those of us who know see it differently; Bama ruined their seasons, made them quit, and they crashed and burned as a result.

Rankings of opponents when Bama played them:

USC #20
Ole Miss #17
Arkansas #16
Tennessee #9
Texas A&M #6
LSU #13
Auburn #13

Now?  USC is #10, Aubs are #18, and LSU is #21.  None of the others is ranked.

A lady on Finebaum said that Kiffin leaving Bama to go to work for Orgeron would be like
Da vinci leaving to go study under Thomas Kinkaid.

Good (albeit SOGGY) morning.  Coffee

We had heavy rain, high winds, flash-flood warnings, and tornado watches last night.  I was in Tupelo and had to drive in it.  Ugh, a nightmare.  But we're okay here atop Mount Chech, our little hilltop.

The stories coming from Gatlinburg are very sad.  At least 150 homes burned, including some structures right in Gatlinburg itself.  Fortunately they got some rain and are getting more this morning.  Incredible videos of folks driving through the fire.

I've been following this as well. According to the radar, they should get heavy rain today. Maybe just what the doctor ordered. Very sad situation indeed. Even the mayor's house burned. I pray they get a gully washer there today.

Good morning folks.  Thunderstorms and tornados around here during the night.  At least 3 dead in Jackson County so far.  None were near me though.  Our power went out around 2:30 and is still out.  I came in to the office but can be back home in about 35-40 minutes if Mrs. Nalt needs me... Prayers for all those effected by the storms and fires.
