Wow, what a beautiful day we had yesterday.  And today will be its sister: 73 degrees, sunny, and perfect.  I'm lecturing in the Grove today for the finale.  It's mostly a review session (and party), so WTH!




That's actually me (with my students) in the peach-colored shirt.

What a fitting way to end your career, on the Grove.

Thanks, guys.  Yeah Jamos, I told my class "I didn't get into biology to sit in a classroom.  Let's go outside."  It was a beautiful day.  Rather have been on a beach, but The Grove worked for an hour!

Congrats on your retirement Chech. I know you will enjoy it. I am still several years away but I am already planning and looking forward to it. I told my wife when I retire I might have to get a job to pay for hobbies. Everything I enjoy doing is very expensive.

That's my problem too, pmull, unless I give up golf and just stick to fishing.

J, how'd the boat ride work out?

I took the boat over and the mechanic and I had about a 20 min discussion about my theory of the problem. He said that my theory did make sense and he would take the boat out and do a diagnostic on the motor. Now of course I had to leave it due to their work load but at least the two of us understand each other some better about the problem. Hopefully he will get a chance to take it out next week.

He said that my theory did make sense and he would take the boat out and do a diagnostic on the motor. Another beautiful day yesterday, and today will be also.  We got a bit sunburned yesterday working on the Habitat house, but got much accomplished.  Walls are going up fast, thanks in part to my new nailgun!  It sure makes life easy!

We'll be at the beach one week from today.  Not too late for some of you others to join us.  NALT is already boasting that he'll pull a Sea of Galilee and fill the beaches with fish!

Yeah it's amazing when you take something to the shop to get it repaired and all the employees are standing around seemingly with nothing to do chatting with folks and they tell you it will take about 3 weeks to get it repaired due to their work load.
