Poll shows that Alabamians tend to give up sex for Lent and Mississippians give up sweets.  Time to go west, young man.

A tornado hit a shopping center about a half mile from here as the crow flies. Ripped the roofs off of several of the buildings. Mrs 2 and I picked up our grandson and stopped at the McDonalds in the same parking lot as the strip mall and we saw the cloud coming that probably spawned the tornado. Much of the city is without power right now.

A tornado also hit Century, Fl and Flomaton, Al, doing a lot of damage. I hope everyone is safe!

One person was injured in Century, but not seriously, thank the Lord.

The Guitar Center was one of the stores in the shopping center that got hit here in P'cola. My SIL started his career there and a friend of his still works there. He said it was quite scary as they lost their roof and the rain came pouring in after it. The gym where I work out is also in that shopping center. They are closed also.

Good morning.  Coffee is tasty today.  Coffee

Looks like we survived the nasty weather, and today starts the warmup.  Woot.

There was a tornado in Mississippi yesterday, and it hit a school ~ 20 miles south of Jackson:

Quote
Windows were blown out of cars and two gymnasiums and a library were damaged at a K-12 school in Wesson where children were in attendance when heavy thunderstorms and a possible tornado passed through.

There were no reports of any students injured...

Thank goodness there were no injuries!

That is a miracle. They are very lucky!

Lot's of power outages in P'cola last night. We were lucky. It flickered a few times, but we never lost power. Breddy is moving into a new house and she lost power, which hampered her efforts. Heck of a weather day yesterday!

Hello to Breddy.  She retired from the forum??

I'm considering driving over to Arky to catch a few trout this week.  But I need to call my buddy there to see if the rivers are flooded.

Breddy's a single Mom. Grandson's a handful. She lurks every now and again, though.

I hope you get to go fishing. I envy you. Not sure when I'll be able to go.
