I miss living along the beach.  Maybe some day soon I'll be back in a Belize cabana.

I'm jealous, too. Mrs. 2 and I are in SC on business, but we'll be heading to Gatlinburg, Tn tomorrow night for the weekend. Temps aren't supposed to be too bad, though, so we're looking forward to it.

Nice to see that 2 is in Gatlinburg.  It's supposed to be a surprisingly warm weekend there, so his luck is holding.  Have fun!

I'm back to house building today, then I'm considering making a trek to a trout stream for a couple of days.

Morning gents. Getting ready to take little cbbama to his second basketball game of the season this morning. They played last week and got beat (although they didn't keep score, which drives me nuts, my best guess is we got beat 14-6) and though he didn't have any stats that would show up in the score book, he played excellent defense, never letting his man get away from him.

Morning gents. Getting ready to take little cbbama to his second basketball game of the season this morning. They played last week and got beat (although they didn't keep score, which drives me nuts, my best guess is we got beat 14-6) and though he didn't have any stats that would show up in the score book, he played excellent defense, never letting his man get away from him.

It's gotta be the basketball cleats, right CB? 

Glad the little guy is catching on.

Here's to J for representin' at the game, to Chech for exercising his traveling shoes, to CB for making sure the little guy wears his best BB cleats, and to Preacher for always spreading the sunshine on CRS. 

I've been to Gatlinburg several times, but I've never seen it as crowded as it was today. They are having a Youth Christian Group conference at the Conference Center and the kids are everywhere.

I don't know how many of you watch "Moonshiners", but I was in "Sugarland" moonshine along the strip in Gatlinburg today and "Tickle" from the show was unveiling his brand of "Sugarland" moonshine there. He autographed what I bought and Mrs 2 and I had our picture taken with him.

What's funny is when I went in, a lady that works in the store, pointed at me and said "That's Tickle's dad! Come over here where he is." I said to her "I think that would come as quite a surprise to Tickle". I told Tickle about it at the autograph session and he had a good laugh.

J, be loud and be proud. I see we are getting hammered so far.

Mrs. J is in Mississippi on a horse riding trip this weekend so Zoey (my dog) and I have been taking care of the place and it's been rather quiet around here.

Morning gents. Little cbbama's team won (by my count, since they don't keep score) 30-8 yesterday! Still no stats for the little guy, but he did bring the ball up court for an amazing pass (and managed to take another pass off the noggin when he wasn't looking). J, hope that you and Zoey are making it without the Missus this morning. 2, I hope you and the Missus are enjoying G'burg. Bro. Ricky, I hope you and Ms. Dotty are doing well. Didn't make the fishing trip.  Turns out that we have a meeting with a financial guy on Monday.  Bummer.

Today I guess I'll trim some more trees overhanging the deck.  Too much shade during the summer.  Now's the time.
