Morning to all. Coffee

2 and X, be safe down there, lightning can be a game changer. It looks like our rain may have moved down your way 2 which just might open a window for a chance to maybe get in a round of golf anyway.

Prayers for all of our many friends this morning. Pray

Have a good day everyone.

Yep, storming pretty good right now. Might be able to get a round in tomorrow. We'll see. Have a good one, J.

Thoughts and prayers, still, for Mr. & Mrs. Preacher.

Wish it wasn't so far for you to come our way but maybe you need a day of rest after a restless night. Wink

This might have worked well for me anyway, Mrs. J came home with a big trailer load of hay that I had to put in the loft of the barn Thursday and to say I'm not sore from that would be a total lie.

All right! The gangs all here except for Chech. As long as he's been gone, he might be a Canadian citizen by now. If he comes back, I hope he brings J some Moose nuggets since we wiped him out at the Ole Miss game.

Have a good day, CB!  Wink

Today got off to a bad start for me. I was invited to ride along with some friends to go see Austin play some 7 on 7 games in Murfreesboro, TN but the games got rained out. The team left at 6:00 this morning. As they crossed the TN state line the coach got a call that the field were flooded due to yesterday and overnight rain. About the time I got to my friends house his son called to tell him.

I was looking forward to some football. The 7 on 7 games are fun to watch. They pass every play. Runs are not allowed. No screen passes. Everything is down field. There is not a DL just LB, DB and safety's. The OL is not there except the center who only snaps the ball. The QB has 3 seconds to throw the ball or the play is blown dead. It is fun and high scoring.

My friends son is the expected starting QB. He is a junior and this will be his first year as a starter. In the spring game against Huntsville he threw for a 35 yard TD and ran for another. His name is Brandon Schreiber. I think he has a chance to be pretty good.

Two weeks ago Austin played in a 7 on 7 drill and went 5-1. They beat some good teams like Spain Park, Homewood and Prattville. Their only loss was to Leeds.

We have a tough schedule again this year. In addition to our very tough region we have Spain Park, Bob Jones and Florence. I can not wait for the season to get started.

Oh man, that really stinks. I have watched some 7-on-7, and it is a lot of fun. The kids have a lot of fun with it, too, as it gives them a chance to just throw the ball all over the field.

Have any of you guys been involved with Upward Bound sports of any kind? Mrs. cbbama and myself were thinking of signing little cb up for Upward basketball this fall and wanted to know if people have had a good experience with this program.

Upward Bound is a great organization. My girls loved cheerleading when they were young. Football season would be over and they were all bummed out. Outward Bound had cheerleading for basketball so we got them involved. It was organized  through the largest Baptist Church in town. They enjoyed it and we met a lot of new parents. I know it is different in every town but in Decatur that is where the non-athletic kids played.

Morning everyone. Coffee

X, it looks like it might be a wet morning down your way and 2 is sleeping right through it. It's a pleasant morning here in T-town with only a light chance of a shower. I think some golf will be on my to do list today.

Have a good day everyone and a prayer for all this morning. Pray

Morning gents. A little overcast in Central Maryland this morning, but it looks as if our friends down on the Gulf Coast may be getting a soaking. Keep dry, X and 2. Thanks for the words on Upward Bound, pmull. I really think little cb will have fun with it this fall.

I did sleep right through it. I stayed up late last night watching the Bama-Ky game that I DVR'd last year. It was worth it. We won again.  Cheesy

My pool is almost over-flowing from all the rain. Lawd, at the rain we've had this year!

Y'all have yourselves a good one.
