There was a gas leak and explosion in the Escambia County jail last night, killing 2 inmates.  Sad

They don't know if it was related to the weather or not.

Today's another day. Let's hope it's a good one.  Pray

I saw that on the news and could only guess it was weather related. As bad as it was, the fatality count could have been much higher. Pray

Hopefully the rain is over and things can get back to normal for all of you. I couldn't help but think of Leroy and his place on the Flint River, I bet all of those folks got clobbered as well. Sad

You know what, J, most of the heavy stuff was south of there, so maybe they were spared. Let's hope so anyway.

Here's a link on the jail explosion.

These amaryllis are descendents of bulbs my grandmother had in her yard back in the 1950s.  LF took this photo today.  These survived the winter on the south side of our house.  The gap at the right end of the planter is where those that did not survive once lived.  Sad

Those are beautiful flowers, Chech. Nice pic!

We ventured out tonight for a bite to eat. The town is still pretty soggy and road detours are pretty common. Mrs. 2 went to the storage room earlier today and we got lucky. No flooding.

Bad news, however, about a good gal that used to work for me. She lost everything she owns, including her car, to the flooding. She did not have flood insurance.  Sad

The company I used to work for, that she still works for, is stepping up to the plate and is organizing a fund raiser for her, from within.

There are a lot of people here in her shoes. If you guys see anything about a relief effort for the people affected in Pensacola and surrounding areas, please give if you can. I'm breaking out the wallet, too.

Very nice, 2.

Morning all.  Cheesy

Love the pic Chech.

2, I'm saddened to hear the news of your friend and all of the devastation that happened, hopefully there will be some kind of help for her and all the others that has lost so much to the storm. I understand there is more rain this morning in your area but the weather map indicates it is now moving out. Pray

Have a good day everyone.

We did have a little more rain, J, but it's moved on as you said. The weekend is supposed to be sunny with no rain, so we'll have a chance to dry out.

Kudos to Ole Miss for their efforts. That's awesome!

I hope everyone has a good Friday and weekend.

Gonna be doing a little more traveling today. We're taking MawMaw to Lake Martin for the day. She hasn't really been anywhere for a long time, so we hope this will do her some good.

Congrats to the ladies for wrapping up the SEC championship. I hope the baseball team can get going today against UF.

Everyone, enjoy your Saturday.

Lake Martin may be Ocean Martin by today.  How much rain did they get up there?

Have fun, 2.  Keep up the good work with pics of the adventures!  There should be some big-time water passing that dam this morning.

Any fish in that lake?

Morning everyone. Coffee

Another beautiful day today and Mrs. J has some plans for me, honey-do jar. Lips Sealed

2, you better take some fishing gear with you, there's some big spotted bass in that lake. It sounds like you have a wonderful day ahead of you, enjoy.

Have a great day everyone. Cheesy
