WV, my guess is you'll be under a flood watch whether or not you get a lot of rain due to the melting ice. Is there still a bunch of it left?

Ice storm this AM, but the ground is saturated, streams are high, and heavy rains forcasted.

Yeah, the mountains have that effect here as well. Normally, if the weather comes from the north, the mountains effect the precipitation. If it comes from the west, it doesn't. Apparently today it will come from the west and we'll get it.

Sometimes storms move to the path of least resistance. Other times they'll hang on a mountain like a weather balloon stuck on the Empire State Bldg. The later instance is when you really get hammered by the storm.
