When was that, OT?  I went to games back in the middle 60s, but (frankly) I don't recall whether any majorettes were on display.

There were none up to the late 1950s and maybe into the early 60's.  Only "Miss Alabama" fronted the marching band, dressed in a trim outfit and carrying, I believe, red roses. It was cool because every football fan of any team knew it was Bama's band immediately. Col. Butler also had a quick-step entrance on and off the field.

Yea but the schools now teach how showing off your body is ok. I Would say in another 5 years or so the girls will be naked. Just think our grandkids or great grand kids could be on a football band and be naked. Well we know back some years they wore full clothing but that is wrong today. Just wait and see. RTR!

If the Rutgers - Louisville game gets boring tonight there is a good DII game on CSS. No. 1 Valdosta State plays at No. 12 West Alabama. West Alabama's is 4-1 with their only loss coming against FCS No. 9 McNeese State on the road 44-42.

Last year the two teams split a pair of games. UWA won the regular season game at Vadosta to win the Gulf South Conference. UWA got screwed in the playoffs when they had to go back to Vadosta State in the second round of the playoffs. Valdosta State went on to win the DII National Championship.
