Mornin, everyone. Was just watching the Weather Channel. They were talking about Hurricane Sandy and what they expect to happen to the east coast. What I found incredible is the snow that is supposed to be produced from this thing in the higher elevations of western Virginia and West Virginia. They were talking FEET not inches. Unbelievable. All you folks living out there prepare. It's not going to be pretty.

I heard that Merk. Folks around here pretty much relish in that stuff. By noon the downed trees will be cut up and the roads plowed. Lots of old folks to check on but everything else goes on like another day. Snowshoe will dig getting that kind of a jumpstart on ski season.

It has turned cold here. Cold for North Alabama anyway. It is 46 with a strong wind. It is the wind that gets you.

The wife has started a big pot of chili. Chili is always a good game day treat on a cool day.

Hello everybody. I was out most of the day Friday and all night and day Saturday. I didn't even get to go to Church today. My back was really giving me problems. This does bring a new twist to the date he will be fired on that I haven't thought about.  If they are going to go after Petrino they may fire Chizik before the end of the season so they can close the deal with Petrino before any other schools go after him at the end of the season.

I actually would not want to see Petrino go to auburn. They might at least have an offense. They might actually do some things right if that Trooper Taylor was out of the limelight for them. RTR!

Hey guys, sorry for not checking in sooner, but we are kind of battening down the hatches for Sandy. Its about 5 p.m. here, and we've been getting rain for roughly 12-14 hours now, not a drenching but definitely steady. Windy gusts at times as well, but I think the worst will come either late tonight or early tomorrow morning. Keep us all in your prayers up here, and especially that we don't lose power for long stretches of time. I talked to my dad in Northport last night and he said Alabama Power crews are among those coming up here to help.

I would not be surprised if any day we hear that the barn and Chiz have reached an agreement and Chiz will resign effective at the end of the season. That would allow Chiz to coach the rest of the season. It would also reduce the buyout by several million and let the coaching search begin.

Who will hire the new coach? The barn's AD, Jay Jacobs, is also on the hot seat. He hired the current football, basketball and baseball coaches. None of them are working out.

Morning guys. We made it through the night OK. Never lost power, though it did flicker a couple of times. Wind gusts around our pacle got up to around 60 mph, and we got somewhere in the neighborhood of about 5-6 inches of rain. I haven't ventured out yet to see the damage in the areas around us (many roads are still closed, and parts of Baltimore closer to the bay are under water), but for the most part, it seems we were fortunate to miss the worst of the storm. Thanks for your prayers.
