It didn't hit me until I was driving into work this morning that today was the 1 year anniversary. Just reading our posts from back then brings back all the sadness, but also the relief that no one here or any of their family members were hurt (that I can remember). As bad as it got for T-town, there is still hope that it will return completely. I saw some photos of Cordova, a small town in southeast Walker County, and I don't think it will ever be the same again. The entire old downtown area is in shambles and may never be rebuilt.  Sad

The stories of neighbors "healing" neighbors or towns pulling together to try and abate the pain of sister towns will become lore, and shining examples of all that is good with these people.  Government cannot buy this and to the contrary, invariaby shows the dark side of so-called "elites" in charge of doling the money of others. But the generosity and selflessness of those equally effected may answer the inevitable question of why "If there is a God, how could He allow this to happen?"

I still wince at the pitiful post-game trophy presentation/interview by John Saunders. The woman just returned yesterday from visiting the girl in grad school. It'll take a few days to get the corn dog smell off of her.  I hope to see them on a "Girls Gone Wild" Spring Break '12 video. If so, I want my share of the $$$.
