Alabama lands another top prospect
Derrick Henry, one of the top running back prospects in the country, announced Friday that he planned to sign with Alabama.

The 6-3, 242-pound Henry set the Florida state high school rushing record last week with 502 yards and also scored six touchdowns. He's the ninth ESPN 150 prospect to commit in the 2013 class to the Crimson Tide, who now have 21 commitments.

Henry, who's from Yulee, Fla., picked Alabama over Tennessee.

Alabama fans can watch Henry play Friday night at 8 p.

This is great news. But so too was it great news when the alleged fellony rapist committed. The road to the field is a long one. Hope he stay between the lines so he can play between the lines.

Yep, on ESPNU.  He plays for Yulee, the home team.  I've been watching him.  He had over 100 yards and two TDs by halftime.

First thing you notice, he's a big dude.  6'3", over 240 lbs., and he's probably still growing.  He is a man among boys in HS.  I wonder, given his size, if he'll remain at RB at the college level.  He's listed as an "athlete" per ESPN, and might make a great LB given his combination of size and speed.  Also, because of his size, he will have a harder time trying to make quick cuts and find an open gap, and he'll have to work on that in college.

But there's no denying his athleticism.  He's a Superfreak.

I think Henry could play an H back. Kind of like Smelley did, more of a receiver type. He says he is going to play RB. He will be load.
