I understand the law and the needs for them and I  am not defending the young man.  However, some of these 15 year olds are going on 20 and they are the instigators in some situations.

And we have some 18 year olds going on 12 and they do stupid things.

I don't know the circumstances and it may be bad enough to where Bama needs to forget about this kid, but I do know at that age, many of us did a lot of thinking with the little head. If he's 17 and she's 15 or 16 and the aggressor, it's not that easy to turn off the testosterone. Of course it's been a long time since I was 17, I could be wrong.

The police have pretty much said that it is an underage situation and has nothing to do with forced rape.  It is also being said that her parents plan to drop the charges.

Looks like I may have been premature with my harsh comment previously. 

I do hope this young man learns a valuable lesson because of this.

If it's what Chech said it was, he'll be a local folk hero to his brahs at SF. I'm playing golf there tomorrow, I'll try to get the "skinny" on the situation.

Well said.  I agree.
Last night, when it first broke, I searched for more info to confirm it.  Every recruiting service, every sports network, and all of the regional newspapers had his arrest photo plastered with the story.  
I admit, when I heard the charges I envisioned a forced rape.  I don't know the legal system, but this sure seems like a pair of criminal charges that present a twisted version of the truth.

Nothing wrong with your comments. We have to be so careful nowadays and not ignore problems. I reference Penn State as an example. Plus, just because the parents changed their minds about charges does not mean the kid is not messing with an underage girl. That is still a major conern of mine.
